We’re not going to review this item here – we’re no camera experts, but there’s a lot to be said for just going into the shop and playing around with it, which you’ll be able to do once you get to the airport. Having previously used an Exilim though, I’m going to vouch for the camera at this price point – although particularly so in photography, you get what you pay for.
Dixons website has this priced at GBP 110.63 – and remember, they’ll beat any Comet, John Lewis and Amazon price. So how does this compare?
This is an older model of camera – released over a year ago, and as such isn’t featured in every shop, with the camera already being replaced in many stores portfolios. An average high street price would be GBP 120 but Simply Electronics are currently selling it at GBP 109 – reduced from GBP 139. Let’s get onto the big boys.
Amazon have this on sale for a whopping GBP 184.99 – the price is surely wrong here. But there are only a few left, I’d guess it’d be unlikely there would be more as that price point makes that a particularly poor purchase.
Comet don’t carry any Casio cameras, full stop. So no comparison there.
John Lewis don’t carry the S-12 either, or any Casio cameras.
Verdict: Although strictly this isn’t the cheapest price, Dixons is probably the best value for this product as you can hold it before you buy – although there may be better value more recent deals.
